Awards for contribution to aviation, astronautics and their promotion

Ten individuals and three teams have received an award for their life-time contribution to Czechoslovak aviation, astronautics and their promotion for 2017 from the members of the Subcommittee of the Economic Committee of the Chamber of Deputies for Aviation and Space Program and the Selection Board of this Subcommittee.

Among the winners was a team headed by Ing. Vladimír Daniel, Ph.D. from the Czech Aerospace Research Centre for a successful implementation of the project of the Czech nanosatellite VZLUSAT-1, whose important part is the team from the Department of Applied Electronics and Telecommunications of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň (Prof. Jiří Masopust, CSc., Ivo Veřtát, Ph.D., Ing. Richard Linhart, Ph.D., Aleš Voborník, Ph.D., Michal Pokorný, Ph.D., and others).
