Research centre RICE opened

Plzeň, 15. 6. 2016 University of West Bohemia in Pilsen opened Regional Innovation Centre of Electrical Engineering (RICE) on Wednesday 15 June at its campus at Bory fields in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Pavel Bělobrádek and other important guests .

Research centre RICE wasv built by University of West Bohemia in Pilsen with financial support from the Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovation (OP R & DI), Priority Axis 2 - Regional R & D centers. Decisions on grant provision was issued 29. 9. 2010, the project was launched 1. 10. 2010 and end on 31 December 2015. The total eligible costs was 625 mil. CZK, of which 85 percent was financed from the OP and 15 percent of Czech state budget. The actual construction of the building started 26. 11. 2013, and was finally approved for use 8. 12. 2015. The supplier of RICE building was associations Z + C - Zlínstav a.s. and ENGIE (formerly COFELY) a.s.
